Rockstar Reveals Box Art for Grand Theft Auto 5
If it ain’t broke, why fix it? Rockstar Games may be reinventing the Grand Theft Auto series by offering three protagonists in the fifth installment, but the studio is sticking to the classic box art design. Give it a look below.
As you can see, the studio decided to stick with the iconic grid-based format that the series is known for. The cover follows the pattern set by earlier titles in the series, with various characters and scenes from the game depicted in a cartoon, pulp graphical style. A number of the images featured have been taken from artwork we’ve seen quite often in the past, so there isn’t a whole lot new here to be particularly excited about. That said, it sure is nice to see the final cover.
The game will be released on September 17th, four months later than originally planned.
What do you think of the box art? Would you have hoped for the box art to go in a new direction?
