Explore the World of DARK

dark-xbox-360

Over the years vampires have lost their “street-cred” thanks to movies and television shows like Twilight and The Vampire Diaries. Kalypso Media hopes to return those blood-thirsty fiends to the top of the food chain with DARK, a third-person vampire stealth-action RPG. Players take control of Eric Bane, a newly “born” vampire, who must uncover the secrets of this new world, and the ancient vampires who are in control of the mysterious GeoForge Corporation. To do this you must stealthily explore a variety of modern environments, while using your unique vampire powers like instantly disappearing from view to quickly dispatching surprised enemies.

His recent transformation comes with some serious side effects, as he can’t remember anything from before he became a vampire – neither the transformation itself nor his past. Awakening in the Sanctuary, he befriends Rosemary (Rose) Woods, a gadget fanatic who helps Eric get around electronic obstacles throughout the game. She will offer helpful hints, hacking advice and some savvy remote computer assistance as you progress. The Sanctuary also acts as a “hub” for most of the game, a place to gather intel, grab a drink, and pick up a new mission.

Utilizing 3D cel-shaded graphics, Eric’s mission will take him to a variety of locations like castles, museums, skyscrapers, and nightclubs. By defeating police and elite special forces along with ghouls and other vampires, Eric will earn experience through successful evasion and combat, while advancing the story through dialogue choices with NPCs.

DARK will be available for Xbox 360. No release date or pricing has been announced yet. Click here to visit the official website. Check out the official DARK trailer below. What do you think?
