E3 2013: Ghosts & Pellets Return In Pac-Man Museum
Namco Bandai America Inc. has announced that Pac-Man Museum, a collection of the iconic yellow puck’s games from the original 1980s classic to more recent titles including Pac-Man Championship Edition and Pac-Man Battle Royale is heading to a console near you.
Previously only available in arcades, Pac-Man Battle Royale is a multiplayer version where up to four players control a Pac-Man in a race to gobble up pellets, fruits, ghosts and best of all… each other.
In addition, Pac-Man: Championship Edition DX is getting a free update that upgrades it to DX+. It will add new content, including improved leaderboards, achievements and medals. It also features access to additional DLC mazes, music and the ability to play with graphics from other Namco games, including Dig Dug and Rally-X. The update is headed to Xbox 360, PS3, Steam and Windows 8 this summer.
Pac-Man Museum is coming to XBLA, PSN, PC and the 3DS and Wii U eShop for $19.95. The press release also notes that Championship Edition will not be a part of either the XBLA or PSN version.
