E3 2013: Deadfall Adventures Arrives in September
Originally planned for release in July, Nordic Games’ first-person temple raider Deadfall Adventures gets delayed to September 27th.
Developed by Farm 51, Deadfall Adventure story focuses around James Lee Quatermain and his female companion entering an ancient temple in search of Xibalba, Myan mythology’s “place of fear”. The plot is under wraps, but The Farm 51 revealed it is related to a mysterious artifact with the power to grant immortality among other properties, and players will face opposition from grave robbers, Nazis and Eastern European secret police as well as more infernal powers. The story is said to twist and turn, and is not about good and evil so much as the evil within humanity.
“This is our most ambitious game to date and we’re working very closely alongside The Farm 51 to make sure that Deadfall Adventures provides players with seamless action and puzzle-solving experience,” said Reinhard Pollice at Nordic Games. “Holding back the game’s release until September is the right decision for us to ensure that the content included offers the greatest value for players, which it certainly will.”
There will be several multiplayer modes – deathmatch, horde and something involving treasure collection, and players will be able to trigger killstreak bonuses. In addition, Farm 51 will also be including a new survival co-op mode that will be “both challenging and engaging.”
