Rambo: The Video Game is not John Rambo’s first foray into digital media, but judging by the newly released reveal trailer, we won’t be subjected to exploding wolves and falling boulders.
Developed by Polish studio Teyon, the game follows Rambo through the first three films: First Blood, Rambo: First Blood Part 2, and Rambo 3. Unlike SEGA’s arcade game, the game will be an on-rail shooter featuring both first and third-person sequences. Utilizing stealth and cover mechanics, Rambo will be spewing little tidbits from the film while stabs his enemies in the throat and steadily raises the body count. Quick Time Events (QTEs) will also play a big part in the game.
The game is planned for a PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC release. No date has been announced.
