Focus Home Interactive has announced a new entry in the Sherlock Holmes series called Crimes & Punishments. Developed by Frogwares Studio, Crimes & Punishments will abandon the graphic engine and ’60s looks from The Testament of Sherlock Holmes and instead use Epic’s Unreal Engine 3 and a more modern-looking Holmes.
Unlike the previous adventures of Sherlock Holmes, in Crimes and Punishments you will not be a mere spectator during the detective’s investigation. Set across 8 cases based upon murders, disappearances, spectacular thefts, and other investigations, players will have freedom to make important moral choices instead of simply enforcing justice by the book. You will have to bear the weight of your choices, as Crimes and Punishments offers an exciting system of actions/consequences that forces players to think before acting by giving true depth to every decision they make.
No release date has been set for Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, but it will be available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
