Focus Home Entertainment will publish Compulsion Games’ 2D/3D puzzle platformer, Contrast, on Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and Windows PC in Q3 2013.
Set in the 1920s, Contrast comes across as a combination of film noir and vaudeville. Filled with cabaret singers, illusionists and circus performers, gamers take on the role of Dawn as they help a little girl named Didi uncover the secrets surrounding her family. Like a more complex Lost in Shadow, players move in-between the 2D shadow world and the tangible 3D landscape while using light sources and real world objects to affect shadow placement, depth, height, and weighting to solve puzzles and uncover new story elements.
In addition to being available on the current generation systems, the developers at Compulsion Games have also announced that Contrast will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Vita probably sometime this year.
