by on March 24, 2013

Blitzball is back! Square Enix has confirmed Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster for a 2013 release across PlayStation 3 and PS Vita in North America and Europe.

On PlayStation 3, the game will be released as Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster. Amazon currently has the bundle listed for $39.99, but that price has not been confirmed by Square Enix. On PlayStation Vita, each game will be released separately as Final Fantasy X HD Remaster and Final Fantasy X-2 HD Remaster.

Both games are the International versions. Final Fantasy X HD Remaster will include the Expert version of the Sphere Grid, Dark Aeons, and Penance, but we have to wait to find out what extras Final Fantasy X-2 HD Remaster will include.

These games are classic fan-favorites, and we hope that new and old FINAL FANTASY fans can experience the world of Spira and the story of Tidus and Yuna in a brand-new light with these remastered editions,” said Yoshinori Kitase, producer of Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2.

No official date has been set yet, but Square Enix has stated that the game will be released before the end of the year.
