Story-driven expansion for Arkane’s stealth action game arrives next month on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Where the first add-on, Dunwall City Trials, was a collection of challenge maps and time-trials, Knife of Dunwall will return to the game’s story as players take on the role of Daud, a legendary assassin who killed the Empress. Players will have access to his weapons, gadgets, allies, and supernatural abilities.
“After assassinating the Empress, and forever changing the fate of Dunwall, you embark on a search for redemption. The Outsider reveals the key to your atonement, but who–or what–is Delilah?” reads a line from the content’s description.
The new powers Daud will have at his disposal include the ‘Summon Assassin’ power, which lets him call upon his whaler companions for help, the ‘Void Gaze’ power, which highlights bone charms and ruins hidden throughout the environment. Players will also have access to variations on old powers like ‘Blink.’ As far as weapons are concerned, The Knife of Dunwall will include Chokedust for dazing enemies, Stun Mines, and a hidden wristbow for sleep and poison darts. Sounds like Daud will be plenty equipped for battle.
Players will be accompanied on their trip through never-before-seen parts of Dunwall by the Whalers, a band of mercenary assassins, as they take on “new and terrible” enemies.
The Knife of Dunwall will not be the last Dishonored expansion. Bethesda revealed this content will be called The Brigmore Witches, which will conclude Daud’s story when it’s released sometime in the future.
The Knife of Dunwall will release on April 16th for 800 Microsoft Points ($10). Are you ready for more Dishonored DLC? What do you hope to learn about Daud in the expansion?
