Ubisoft has released a handful of screenshots showing off a noticeable upgrade in graphical quality between the 2012 Vita release of Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation and the upcoming HD version for PS3, 360 and PC.
Due for release next week via Xbox Live Arcade, the PlayStation Network, and Steam, Assassin’s Creed: Liberation takes place in New Orleans, with African-French assassin Aveline de Grandpré as it’s protagonist.
Judging by the below screenshots, Liberation’s character models, are more detailed in the HD version, and once improvised backgrounds are now packed with detail. Ubisoft previously announced that Liberation HD also exults a reworked campaign, a collection of new bonus missions and tweaks to some of its gameplay mechanics.
Assassin’s Creed: Liberation HD will be priced at $19.99 when released on January 15th.
